My Very First

So this is my very first post!  Crazy.  I barely understand how all this blogging works and  thank goodness for my son’s girlfriend who help me set it up!

I don’t have any one particular thing to share but wanted a place and a space to share a little bit of everything.  I have never been a prolific writer, in fact I have always struggled with writing so it’s interesting that I have chosen blogging as a new found hobby.  I envision this blog to share everything from thoughts about our national politics, to the most recent DIY project I have completed, to funny stories from my family, my work (that’s a whole other blog), beauty, fashion, home decor, recipes,  you name it!!  My life is also filled with talented women friends and sisters and I plan to pull them into this to share what they know.

A little about myself real quick.  My name is Alisha I am the mother of two grown sons and I work  full time in the field of parole/probation.  I have an amazing boyfriend of almost seven years (we are both cool with not getting married, don’t want to mess up a good thing) who at this moment is putting together for my mom the  recently purchased chopping block/island from Ikea and he just got done making us dinner (so nice, huh!?)! I live in the Pacific Northwest and always enjoy a trip to the coast. I know it sounds corny to say but I am thankful everyday for the life that I have and I am so appreciative for all that I have.  More to come later because I said I would make it quick.
